The Pleasant Plains Elementary PTA sponsors a variety of advocacy, programming, fundraising, and community-building initiatives that support our students, staff, and families throughout the school year. Through these events and programs, we strengthen our school community, enrich the student experience, and create meaningful opportunities for families to connect and get involved.

Fall & Spring Book Fairs

Our twice-yearly Book Fairs are a favorite tradition for students, giving them the opportunity to discover new books and foster a lifelong love of reading. Every purchase helps raise funds that support our school, making it a fun event that benefits the entire PPES community.

Reflections Art Contest

Each fall, PPES students are invited to participate in the Reflections Art Contest, a PTA-sponsored program that celebrates creativity and artistic expression. Students can showcase their talents across a variety of art categories, including visual arts, dance, photography, musical composition and more!

Kids on the Run

Kids on the Run is a fun and active running club offered each fall and spring that helps students build confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits. Through training, goal-setting, and teamwork, students develop a love for fitness while celebrating their accomplishments with friends.

Spirit Rock

The Spirit Rock is a fun way for families to celebrate special occasions, milestones, and achievements at PPES. Located in the front carpool circle, families can reserve and paint the rock with a personalized message while supporting the PTA.

Spirit Wear

Spirit Wear is the easiest way for students, families, and staff to show their Cardinal pride! From shirts and sweatshirts to other school gear, everyone can purchase PPES spirit wear and support our school and PTA.

Spirit Nights

Spirit Nights are a fun way for PPES families to connect while supporting local businesses and our school. Throughout the year, we partner with local restaurants and businesses that host Spirit Nights and donate a portion of their sales back to us.

Cardinal Cupboard

The Cardinal Cupboard Initiative supports PPES students and families by increasing access to food, hygiene items, and basic essentials. By helping reduce barriers related to basic needs, we ensure students feel supported, prepared, and ready to learn.

PPES Yearbook

The PPES Yearbook captures the memories, milestones, and moments that make each school year special. At the end of each school year, families can purchase a keepsake filled with student photos and classroom highlights from our Cardinal community.

Teacher & Staff Hospitality

The Teacher Hospitality Initiative celebrates and supports our incredible PPES teachers and staff by providing meals, snacks, and special treats throughout the school year. Donations help us show our appreciation and recognize the dedication, care, and hard work our teachers and staff provide to our students every day.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week is a special opportunity to celebrate and thank our incredible teachers and staff for their dedication, care, and commitment to our students. Through thoughtful activities, treats, and surprises, the PTA helps show our educators how much they are valued and appreciated.

Fifth Grade Celebrations

Fifth Grade Celebrations are a special way to recognize and celebrate our PPES Cardinals as they prepare to spread their wings and transition to middle school. Through special activities, events, and yard signs, the PTA helps create lasting memories and celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating 5th graders.

Visiting Authors & Artists

The PTA brings authors, artists, and special guests to PPES to inspire creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning. These engaging experiences give students the opportunity to connect with talented individuals and explore new ideas.

Field Day

Field Day is a fun-filled tradition that brings students and parent volunteers together for a day of teamwork, activity, and school spirit. The PTA helps support this exciting event, giving students the opportunity to enjoy games, challenges, and memorable moments with their classmates.

Popsicles with the Principal

Popsicles with the Principal is a welcoming event for rising kindergartners and their families before the start of the school year. Students have the opportunity to meet the principal, explore their new school, and begin building excitement and confidence for their first year at PPES.

Literacy Nights

Literacy Nights are engaging family events held each fall and spring that celebrate the joy of reading and learning. Each year features a new theme with fun activities that encourage students and families to connect, explore stories, and build a lifelong love of literacy.
